The trace library stores your agent sessions so you can search and reuse them in the cloud.
When you run agents on your own machine, or chat with assistants in the cloud, the trace library uploads those sessions to your workspace. You can then search them alongside cloud chats and artifacts.
- Run
sky trace syncin the terminal to upload local sessions. - In the web or Mac app, press ⌘K and choose Everything mode.
- Search for anything across chats, traces, artifacts, and memory.
Where: ⌘K > Everything (web and Mac). CLI: sky trace sync.
Agents on your machine. Sync finds these on its own: Claude Code, Codex, Cursor (agent and chat), Claude Desktop, Gemini CLI, Qwen Code, Grok CLI, DeepSeek Harness, Hermes, OpenCode, Goose, Amp, Kiro, Cline, Roo Code, Kilo Code, Continue, GitHub Copilot Chat, Zed, Jan, and LM Studio. Run sky trace sync --agents to see which ones are on this machine.
Chats in the cloud. Download your export, then add it:
- Export your data: claude.ai, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek, or Muse.
- Run
sky trace sync --import <export.zip>. - The sessions upload with the next sync.
Good to know: every session is redacted on your machine before it uploads. Each one goes to the workspace its folder matches; anything that matches no rule stays on your machine unless you set a default. Uploaded traces appear as read-only sessions at no cost.
