Call notes on your Mac

The Mac app keeps notes of your calls by default, names them from your Google Calendar, and can pass external calls to your workspace's CRM; turn notes off in Settings.

Updated October 29, 2026

Call notes are on by default in AgentSky Mac. Turn off "Meetings" if you do not want the app to take notes automatically.

You no longer get a separate "Take notes for this call?" notification. Recording the other side of a call still needs macOS system-audio permission, which macOS requests the first time. The onboarding permissions step explains the default.

  1. Open Settings › This Mac and open "Meetings".
  2. Turn it off if you do not want notes kept for your calls.

Where: Mac app › Settings › This Mac › Meetings.

Manage saved voices. Open Saved voices › Manage in Meetings, even when Meetings is off or you have no notes. Choose Forget next to a person and confirm to remove the profile used to recognise them in future calls on this Mac. Existing notes, speaker names, recordings and voice data saved alongside earlier notes stay. If the list cannot be read or removal fails, retry; the app does not report the voice as forgotten until the registry has been saved.

Meeting names from your calendar. If you have connected Google Calendar in AgentSky, the Mac app looks up the event that matches the call's time (up to 10 minutes either side) in your selected workspace. The note then gets the meeting's name and an Attendees line. If access is needed, the app tries to grant it to this Mac's own key, not other keys. Without a calendar connection, or if Google returns no matching event, the note has no meeting name; recording and transcription can still continue.

Notes in your workspace and CRM. After saving a note on your Mac, the app tries to sync it and its meeting details to your workspace. If syncing fails, the local copy stays; the team may receive no copy, or a note without its details. If a CRM connector is installed and someone from outside the workspace was identified on the call, the app also tries to send the details there; a failed handoff does not delete saved copies.

Good to know: the setting stays on unless you turn it off yourself. Related: Allow AgentSky the permissions it needs, Mac app permissions, What are connectors?.

Let an agent work with a note. Ask for access to this Mac's apps and files (sky mac ask <machine> host). Once you allow it, the granted host's MCP tools can list and read notes with list_call_notes and read_call_note. save_call_note requires the SHA-256 from that read, so a newer edit produces a conflict rather than being overwritten. publish_call_note uses the note's original account and workspace and its existing Library document; it refuses Only on this Mac. Saving and publishing each require your confirmation on the Mac. A general file upload is a separate action.
