Mac app permissions

What the AgentSky Mac app asks for and why.

Updated October 22, 2026

The AgentSky Mac app may request several macOS permissions. All are optional — you can use the core chat and agent features without any of them.

Microphone

Used for: voice dictation in the composer.

The app asks when you first click the microphone button in a chat. Without this permission the microphone button is hidden.

To change: System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone → AgentSky.

Screen recording

Used for: sharing your screen content with an agent that can observe it.

The app asks the first time you invoke a screen-sharing feature. Without this permission the screen-sharing button is hidden.

To change: System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen & System Audio Recording → AgentSky.

Accessibility (computer use)

Used for: letting an agent control your Mac through the computer-use capability.

The app asks when you first enable computer use on a session. Without this permission the agent can see screenshots but cannot move the mouse or type.

To change: System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility → AgentSky.

Notifications

Used for: alerting you when a session needs your attention or finishes a long task.

The app asks on first launch. You can say no and still receive in-app notifications in the menubar.

To change: System Settings → Notifications → AgentSky.

When these permissions are used

AgentSky does not collect screen content or keystrokes in the background. Call notes are on by default; recording the other side of a call still requires macOS system-audio permission. You can turn call notes off in Settings › This Mac. See Call notes on your Mac.
